Man dies after fishing boat overturns near Macduff

A man has died after a fishing boat overturned off the Aberdeenshire coast.

Police said the 69-year-old man was found in the water in the North Sea near Macduff on Thursday.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police Scotland said: "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
