Man dies after kayak capsizes on River Spey in Moray

A man has died after a kayak capsized on a Moray river.

Police said the alarm was raised on the River Spey, near Fochabers, at about 16:45 on Sunday.

A 51-year-old man was recovered from the water by emergency services but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
