Pensioner killed in Aberdeenshire crash named by police
A man who died in a two-car crash on the A950 in Aberdeenshire has been named by police as 83-year-old Stanley Morrison.
Mr Morrison, from Macduff, and another man were involved in the collision on the Mintlaw to New Pitsligo road at about 17:50 on Friday.
The second man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours to allow for a police accident investigation at the scene.
Inquiries are ongoing and police have urged anyone with information surrounding the crash to get in touch via the Police Scotland non-emergency line.
Sgt Scott Deans added: "Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has tragically died."
