Aberdeen City Council has voted to have co-leaders.

Aberdeen Labour councillor Jenny Laing and Conservative Douglas Lumsden were confirmed in the roles at a meeting of the authority.

Meanwhile, the council has voted to rejoin the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (Cosla) after leaving in 2015.

The authority had said at the time it was a "rescue operation" to allow the city to negotiate a better funding deal from the Scottish government.

Cosla acts on behalf of the councils when it comes to collective bargaining with government and other institutions.
