Woman, 21, dies in one-vehicle crash on A9 near Inverness
JasperImageA 21-year-old woman has died following a crash on the A9 north west of Inverness.
The woman was the grey Nissan Micra's only occupant, police said.
Emergency services were called to the site of the crash on the A9 near the Artafallie junction at about 10:00 on Sunday.
The road was closed in both directions until about 15:00 while emergency services carried out investigations into the crash.
Sgt David Miller said: "At this time, our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased.
"Our inquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing and we are appealing for any motorists who travelled on the A9 between Munlochy and Tore this morning, and believe they may have seen the Nissan Micra involved, to please come forward."
