Two injured after car explodes outside Ayrshire hospital

A man and a woman have been injured after a BMW convertible exploded outside an Ayrshire hospital.

Police Scotland said the alarm was raised at Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, at about 14:30.

The casualties are both undergoing treatment but no details of their conditions has been released.

A police spokeswoman said: "Inquiries into the cause are ongoing however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
