Woman, 84, charged after teenage boy hit by car in Bothwell

An 84-year-old woman has been charged after a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run in South Lanarkshire.

The teenager was struck by a car on Main Street in Bothwell on Monday 5 April.

He was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Police said a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.
