Man dies after being seriously hurt in Inverkeithing restaurant

A man has died after being seriously injured at a restaurant in Fife.

The 44-year-old was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after a disturbance at a premises in High Street, Inverkeithing, at about 16:35 on Friday.

Officers confirmed he died a short time later from his injuries.

A police spokesman said a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and inquiries are ongoing.

He is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.
