Human remains found at Fife industrial estate

Human remains have been found at a Fife industrial estate.

Police were called to Whitehill Industrial Estate in Glenrothes following reports of the discovery at about 17:20 on Sunday.

The road has been sealed off to the public.

A Police Scotland spokesman said inquiries to establish the person's identity and how they died were at an early stage.

Det Insp Christopher Dow said: "We're contacting relatives of long-term missing people in the local area, and will continue to keep them updated during the investigation. Our thoughts are with them all at this difficult time."
