Stone of Destiny returns to Perthshire after centuries away
The Stone of Destiny will be the centrepiece of Perth Museum following a £27m redevelopment of the former city hall.
The ancient symbol of Scotland's monarchy was taken by King Edward I of England during the Wars of Independence.
It remained in England for 700 years and was returned to Scotland in 1996.
Perth Museum's collection includes the 3,000 year-old Carpow Logboat and other objects which tell story of Perth and Kinross and Scotland through the ages.
