'We're dealing with mental health calls nearly all day' - officer
Police officers in Scotland say they are facing a surge in mental health call-outs.
So far this year, Police Scotland has attended about 20,000 mental health-related incidents each month. Roughly nine out of 10 of them did not involve a crime.
The BBC joined PCs Kate Gardner and David Macleod on their backshift in Edinburgh as they responded to calls about individuals giving cause for concern.
