Labour outlines plan for some rail public ownership

Louise Haigh was setting out plans to bring passenger rail services back into public ownership, with simplified fares and ticketing, digital season tickets, and automatic refunds in the event of delays.

She also spoke of a bid to “reset industrial relations” claiming the government had “continually and deliberately provoked” rail disputes.
