Sunak declines to apologise over PMQs trans comment
Rishi Sunak has declined to apologise to Brianna Ghey's father after joking about Labour's position on trans people.
The Prime Minister insisted his comment during PMQs was "absolutely legitimate" because he was pointing out Sir Keir Starmer's U-turn on "defining a woman".
The remark was made when the mum of murdered teenager Brianna Ghey - who was transgender - was in Parliament.
Brianna's father, who is among those calling for an apology, said what the PM said was "degrading".
