Tory MP Simon Clarke: We can't have committees beyond criticism
Former minister Sir Simon Clarke said he had "real concerns" about the privileges committee report after some MPs attacked its work.
The Boris Johnson supporters were accused of mounting "vociferous attacks" on the cross-party committee which looked into the actions of the former PM, who has stood down as a MP.
Sir Simon, a former levelling up secretary, said all MPs should be free to "legitimately critique" the work of any committee.
