James Brokenshire death: Tribute from ex-adviser Peter Cardwell

Former government adviser Peter Cardwell has said James Brokenshire was "my boss who became my friend".

He described the former Northern Ireland secretary, who has died aged 53, as "the best of politics and... the best of humanity".
