Special needs pupil 'felt lonely' during school place delay
A 12-year-old girl who missed four months of her education due to a delay in securing a secondary school place has said she felt "lonely and isolated" away from classes.
Aurelia - who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair - was invited to Stormont to tell politicians first hand about her struggle to get into a post-primary school.
She now attends St Genevieve's High School in west Belfast, but feels she has missed out on her education and the chance to make new friends.
