David Capper: A TV pioneer who covered dark days of Troubles
David Capper, who has died aged 91, has been described as a "pioneer" of the relatively early years of TV journalism.
Mr Capper worked for the BBC during some of the worst days of the Northern Ireland Troubles.
Archive footage from the 1970s shows him reporting on a murder, an attack on a minibus and a bombing at a wine shop.
One former colleague said he was an experienced journalist who taught others in the newsroom and led the way in his field.
