Rathfriland: Man injured after shots fired through window

A man has sustained minor injuries after shots were fired into a house in Rathfriland, County Down.

The man was in the living room of the property when two shots were fired through the front window at about 00:35 GMT on Tuesday.

Three other adults were also in the house at the time of the attack, but they were not injured.

Police appealed to witnesses, or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the street, to contact officers.

The nature of the man's injuries have not been disclosed but it is understood that he did not require hospital treatment.
