Community carers: 'Without them, I don't think I would be alive'

An 82-year-old widow with multiple health issues has praised community healthcare workers for keeping her alive and helping her to live in her own flat.

Rosemary Fee did not want to go into a care home after her health deteriorated following the death of her husband.

She now lives in supported accommodation in Broughshane, County Antrim, where she receives regular home visits from health workers.

The service, run by IMPACTAgewell, has reduced hospital admissions and assisted 3,000 older people to live in their own homes for longer.
