Woman with endometriosis 'begging' for specialist help
A young woman with endometriosis has called for a dedicated centre with specialist nurses for the condition in Northern Ireland.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Zara Corbett suffered from extremely painful periods since she was 14.
At 21, she was put into early menopause and often uses a walking stick or a wheelchair to help her get around.
She also suffers from seizures, which is due to her body not being to cope from the severity of the pain, a consultant said.
Zara said she has been left "begging for help" for the condition.
