Man in court over Bedale crash deaths of three teenagers

A man has appeared in court charged with causing the deaths of three teenagers in a crash.

Louis Banks, 17, Aaron Bell, 18, and Tommy Shevels, 18, all died at the scene of the collision on the B6268 Masham Road in Bedale on 29 July 2022.

Joshua Chapman, 19, of Mosquito Garth, Bedale, appeared at York Magistrates on Thursday, charged with three counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was bailed until his trial at Teesside Crown Court on 14 March.
