A man has been charged with the murder of a woman found dead in a house in North Yorkshire.

The woman's body was found at house on High Street in Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering, at about 12:00 GMT on Wednesday.

North Yorkshire Police said a 33-year-old man from Leeds has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at York Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

The woman's name and cause of death have not been released.
