A trial will take place in October over the men's actions at the Covid testing site in York.

Two men are to face a trial after allegedly trying to disrupt a Covid testing site in York.

They were among three men arrested at the Poppleton Park site in January and charged with aggravated trespass.

Edward Warren, 60, and Marti Blagborough, 28, of Leeds, deny the charges and will face a trial before magistrates in October.

Mr Blagborough also denies a charge of using threatening words or behaviour towards staff at the site.

Mr Warren, of Deanfield Avenue, Morley, and Mr Blagborough, of Stonecliffe View, New Farnley, were given conditional bail at York Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

They were told they will face a trial at the same court on 18 October.

A warrant for the arrest of Arthur Taylor, 61, of Pontefract, was issued after he failed to attend court.
