Swindon's famous Old Town Gardens have once again been lit up for Christmas.

From Friday 1 December to Sunday 24 December, Swindon Old Town Gardens will be illuminated for the Enchanted Gardens Light Trail.

The light display has been curated by light artists Luminism.

South Swindon Parish Council has partnered with the Friends of Old Town to introduce an improved food and beverage area surrounding the historic bandstand.

South Swindon parish councillor Neil Hopkins said it was a magical experience.

"I'm delighted that the light trail is returning to the Town Gardens once again, and we're thrilled to unveil all the new light installations we have in store for 2023.

"This year, we're proud to collaborate with the Friends of Old Town to offer a fantastic selection of food and beverages, all from beloved local vendors."

An accessible quiet evening will be held on Monday 11 December for those with additional needs

There will be reduced crowds at the quiet evening, music and sound effects will be lowered, and lighting effects reduced

The trail features "The Lantern Walk" - a community engagement project in collaboration with local schools

There is a limited number of tickets avalable for the trail, with allocated time slots every 15 minutes

The gardens have lots of tree cover, meaning each light display has an immersive experience
