Wiltshire residents will be able to quiz the council on road-related issues at a series of events.

Organised by Wiltshire Council, the Highways Matters meetings will discuss issues such as air quality, congestion, speeding and road safety.

Running until March, the next event will take place in Bradford-on-Avon on Wednesday at St Margaret's Hall.

Councillor Caroline Thomas said: "People are rightly passionate about all things highways."

The cabinet member for highways added: "These events will provide a good opportunity to find out more about our work as a council in your local area and for us to answer any questions."

Joined by representatives of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Ms Thomas said she was "looking forward to the chance to have some productive face-to-face conversations as well as the opportunity to talk in detail about a topic that affects all our daily lives."According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the full list of Highways Matters events can be found on the council website.
