Dunsfold crash: Girl seriously injured after collision dies
A child has died after being seriously injured in a crash in Dunsfold, Surrey Police have said.
The girl, who was a passenger in one of the cars involved, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the collision on Friday.
The crash involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Tesla at the junction between Chapel Hill and Wrotham Hill at about 17:25 GMT, police said.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody.
Police said he was initially arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of a road traffic collision and driving without a valid driving licence.
He has since further been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving while uninsured and causing death by driving while unlicensed.
The girl's family were being supported by specialist officers, police said.
The force has appealed for witnesses.
