Merstham: Buildings and vehicles damaged in fire at farm
Outbuildings, workshops and vehicles at a Surrey farm have been damaged in a fire.
The blaze on Netherne Lane in Merstham was reported at about 02:50 BST on Friday, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said.
Nearby residents were warned to keep doors and windows shut.
Six Surrey fire crews attended the scene, together with two from London. They have now left, a fire service spokesperson said.
"Our activities at this incident have now concluded.
"We shall be carrying out a re-inspection of the scene later today, due to the weather conditions."
Station commander Stephen Tilbury said about 18 cars, two lorries and a multitude of vehicles and farm machinery were alight at Alsted Manor Farm.
"Small businesses were in the compound as well," he added.
Mr Tilbury said there had been no casualties.
Surrey Police said they were working with the fire service to establish the cause of the fire.
