Potsford Farm wants real Christmas trees for its goats to eat
A farm has asked people to donate their real Christmas trees so its goats can eat them.
Potsford Farm in Letheringham, Suffolk, supports adults who have learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Christmas trees are typically evergreen conifers and provide lots of health benefits for goats.
Managing director Nathan Nobbs said: "We will accept anyone's Christmas trees... the goats will really enjoy them."
The working farm is home to around 70 goats, as well as other livestock.
"Christmas trees are really high in vitamin C, a great antioxidant and really good for their gut health," said Mr Nobbs.
"[They are] a natural de-wormer, so we don't have to pump them full of artificial de-wormers as much."
He added that anyone wishing to donate their live tree can drop it "by the main building" of the farm at any time.
