Storm Henk: Avoid driving as Storm Henk hits east - Met Office
Shaun Whitmore/BBCA spell of very strong winds with gusts of up to 60mph (96kph) inland is likely to cause travel disruption as Storm Henk hits, the Met Office has warned.
The amber weather warning has been issued for the East of England from the late morning to early afternoon.
The Met Office said "driving in these conditions can be dangerous, for yourself and other road users".
It advised drivers to only do so if necessary and to be aware of high sided vehicles or caravans.
The amber warning affects Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.
The Met Office also warned people on the coast to take care near large breaking waves.
Home owners should secure loose garden items such as bins, trampolines and garden furniture.
There is a possibility some inland areas could briefly experience winds of 70mph (112kph).
