Ipswich river searched for missing Julian De Bono

Searches are taking place in a river for a man who has been missing since last weekend.

Julian De Bono, 63, was last seen on Yarmouth Road in Ipswich, at about 01:45 GMT on Sunday, heading towards London Road.

Members of Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (Sulsar) have been searching the River Gipping for him.

Suffolk Police is appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage from the area, which may aid their investigation.

Mr De Bono is about 6ft 1in (1.85m) tall and of slim build. He has a receding hairline, with a trimmed grey and black beard.

He was wearing a white, partially see-through shirt, with red trousers and high-shine black shoes, police said.

Police said Sulsar was supporting their investigation and had searched the banks of the river, near Yarmouth Road, using kayaks.

In a statement, the force said: "Officers are extremely concerned for Julian and are asking anyone who has seen him or who has any information on where he may be to contact Suffolk Police on 101."
