A14 to shut for emergency repairs after potholes appeared in new surface
Emergency overnight closures will take place on the A14 in Suffolk after potholes appeared on a stretch of road recently resurfaced in a £37m upgrade.
The National Highways reconstruction work started in February between junction 47A at Haughley and junction 49 at Tot Hill, near Stowmarket.
The westbound road will be closed from 20:00 to 06:00 GMT on 6 and 10 November and the eastbound from 7 to 9 November.
National Highways said the cause of the potholes was being investigated.
It said the closures were to "facilitate emergency repair work".
Diversions will run via the A140 and the A143.
The £37m reconstruction includes a total rebuild of the road.
