Stafford floods leave car parks submerged
Parts of Stafford remain flooded after Storm Babet brought a deluge of rain to the town.
Clean-up work is expected to take days, with Doxey Road car park and Victoria Park among the worst affected areas.
Heavy rainfall and high water levels saw cars left submerged in flood water over the weekend.
Environment Agency flood warnings remain in place for the River Trent at Barton Under Needwood and Burton upon Trent.
Nearby river gauges suggest levels there are starting to fall.
Less severe us flood alerts have also been been issued for the River Penk, and the Trent at Rugeley.
So far more than 1,250 homes in England have been flooded and the West Midlands has been among the areas worst affected, with a man dying after being swept away on the Shropshire-Worcestershire border, near Far Forest, on Friday.
Three other people are known to have died in the floods in the UK - one in Derbyshire and two in Scotland.
