Kasey Palmer: Man arrested over alleged racist gesture at football match

A man has been arrested on suspicion of racially abusing a Coventry City player during a match against Sheffield Wednesday.

Midfielder Kasey Palmer alleged he was targeted during the match between the two sides at Hillsborough on Saturday.

South Yorkshire Police said the man had been arrested on suspicion of a racially-aggravated public order offence and released on bail.

The force said it was working with both clubs to investigate the claim.
