The South Yorkshire mayoral election 2022 explained

Voters across South Yorkshire will decide on a new county mayor on 5 May.

The mayor will have powers over economic schemes, transport services and infrastructure projects.

BBC Yorkshire political editor James Vincent explains what it means for the area.
