Louis Bednall murder: Man appears in court
The family of a grandfather who died after an incident in Yeovil said he "had a soul that was always too beautiful for the world".
Louis Bednall, 40, from Teignbridge, was found at a property in Hendford Hill on Saturday and died in hospital.
Matthew Sheridan, 29, of South Petherton, appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with his murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 17 December.
A 23-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on conditional bail.
Mr Bednall's family said he was "there unequivocally" for relatives and friends and was "the family lion, the family wolf and everybody's protector".
In a statement released by Avon and Somerset Police, the family added: "Louis became a brother to so many, he picked people up and always stayed strong.
"He always told other people how strong they were, but that strength came from him."
They said: "We are all utterly lost without Louis, the feeling of loss is resounding, but the feeling of love is equally so and felt from everyone he knew, from every corner of the world."
