Couple push for CPR training after cardiac arrest

A rugby player who suffered a cardiac arrest and the girlfriend who saved his life are campaigning for more people to learn CPR.

Morgan MacRae, 22, from Peppard, Oxfordshire, was unresponsive for 17 minutes after suffering an arrest in bed in August.

He said extending CPR training would "make the world a safer place".

Anger after £1,400 of Christmas gifts lost in post

A woman who said £1,400 worth of Christmas presents she posted went missing is angry that the Royal Mail has refused to investigate.

Ali Carre arranged a collection of a 10kg (1.5 stone) box packed with about 30 gifts from her home in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Royal Mail apologised for the "inconvenience and frustration" she had experienced.

Thames Valley flood waters remain after heavy rain

Aerial video showed the extent of flooding still affecting the Thames Valley, almost a week after heavy rain hit the region.

People living across Oxfordshire were hit by flood water and disruption in the wake of Storm Henk.

Oxford City Council said it had been "working tirelessly" with its partner agencies to clear flood water from parts of the city.

Surplus curry project expands

A community food waste reduction initiative was expanded to another location.

Community ambassador Sâmân Jamshidifard and the volunteers will now be serving free surplus curry in The Corner House in Wood Farm, Oxford, every Thursday.

The initiative follows on from its success on Botley Road.

Oxford United makes changes to stadium plans

Oxford United says it is about "getting the right facility for everyone"

Oxford United made changes to its new stadium designs in response to public feedback.

The club expected to submit a planning application for a new stadium at The Triangle, near Kidlington, before the end of 2023.

But reviews of submissions received during a consultation exercise meant the process has taken "slightly longer than anticipated".
