Stolen Land Rover found in bits during Northants van check

A dismantled stolen Land Rover has been found in pieces in the back of a van stopped by police at a checkpoint.
Officers opened the van on Thursday after it tipped the scales at 300kg (47 stone) overweight at a weighbridge in Crick, Northamptonshire.
They discovered a pile of metal work and plastic which turned out to be a Land Rover which had been reported as stolen to the Metropolitan Police.
Police confirmed one person had been arrested.
