A concert-goer said she was "shocked" to discover parking was not available for a Bryan Adams gig.

All bookable parking spaces for a show at Thetford Forest's visitor centre in Suffolk have been sold for the Forest Live show on Thursday, 20 June.

Ro Williams said she was unsure how she would get to a venue "in the middle of nowhere".

Concert promoters Cuffe and Taylor said people could travel to the gig on a shuttle bus from nearby Thetford town.

The firm, which has been contracted by Forestry England to run outdoor concerts, said it was offering the buses as a "greener travel option".

Mrs Williams, from Blythburgh, Suffolk, said she was concerned that with an influx of people needing the shuttle bus, it might also not be possible to park in Thetford.

"Why would they sell more tickets than they've got parking spaces for at the venue? It just doesn't make sense to me," she said.

The 74-year-old added: "I'm a regular concert-goer so I know what these are like. This was just such a shock really."

Other stars due to perform at Thetford Forest's outdoor arena this summer include Sting, Tom Jones and Paloma Faith.

A spokesman for promoters Cuffe and Taylor said they were "very excited" to put on the concerts, but parking was sold out for the Bryan Adams and Sting shows.

"This year, we are delighted to offer customers a greener travel option with a return shuttle bus service running frequently from Thetford town," he said.

Despite still having concerns about how she will get there with family and friends, Mrs Williams said she 'couldn't wait' for the gig as she loved live music events.

"In fact, I've just come back from Dublin where I saw Bruce Springsteen. I'm going to see Bryan Adams in June and then I'm going to see Kaiser Chiefs."
