Schools close due to burst water main in Wymondham
A burst water main has forced two schools in Norfolk to close and left homes without supplies.
Wymondham College confirmed on social media it was unable to open and asked parents of boarding pupils to collect their children.
Spooner Row Primary School said a lack of running water meant it had to close for "health and safety reasons".
Anglian Water apologised to customers in Long Stratton and Wymondham and said it was assessing the damage.
Spooner Row Primary said: "The area has no running water and therefore for health and safety reasons, we are not able to have children on site today.
"We anticipate that this will be resolved in time for children's return on Monday 26th February."
Wymondham College said: "Due to issues with water supply and Anglian Water unable to confirm when the water will be back on, the College is closed to students today."
In a statement, Anglian Water said: "We've found a burst main in the area. Our teams are on site and are assessing the damage so we can start the repair as soon as possible and get things back to normal."
