The Liverpool girl who learnt first aid to get into football matches

She was a little girl who read first aid books avidly.

Lilian McShane told a BBC interviewer in 1965 the real reason for her medical swotting was that she wanted to become a nurse and "get into football matches free".

BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Tony Snell was intrigued by this archive footage and has managed to track her down.

Everton have also offered her a seat free of charge of at Goodison Park all these years later.
