Young Fathers, Gossip and The Smile were among acts that took to the stage when the 6 Music Festival returned at the weekend.

The BBC station's flagship event returned to Greater Manchester for three days of shows at multiple venues.

Young Fathers headlined Thursday's opener at Victoria Warehouse with Moss Side and Hulme NIA Community Choir.

Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood performed as The Smile at the venue on Saturday.

Rapper and singer Hak Baker covered the Stone Roses as part of his set on Friday.

Singer-songwriter CMAT was a hit with fans, getting the crowd on their feet to line dance, and teaming up with American singer John Grant to perform a rendition of Where Are Your Kids Tonight?.
