Tower of London: Historic Ceremony of the Constable's Dues takes place

It's a tradition that dates back at least 700 years, but it's still being performed in London to this day.

The Ceremony of the Constable's Dues began during the reign of King Richard III, when visiting ships would have to pay the Constable of the Tower of London for gun protection while navigating the pool of London.

But these days, instead of a tax, the ships are welcomed with a special ceremony.

The Royal Marines have taken part in the most recent event to mark the start of their 360th anniversary celebrations this year.
