Chloe Othen: Jury fails to reach verdict in model assault case

The jury has been discharged in the trial of a man accused of biting and beating his model ex-partner.
The jury, sitting at the City Nightingale Crown Court in Holborn, was unable to reach a verdict in the trial of Ricky Lawrence.
Mr Lawrence, 32, denied assaulting 33-year-old Instagram influencer Chloe Othen in October 2022.
Judge Noel Casey thanked jurors for their time. The prosecution has yet to confirm if it will seek a retrial.

In releasing the jury, Judge Casey told them: "Thank you for trying. Thank you for all the time you have given to this case."
He said situations involving a hung jury happened "from time to time".
