Ex-Met officer denies misconduct in public office

A former Metropolitan Police constable, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a domestic violence victim, has denied two counts of misconduct in a public office.

Daniel Humphreys, 37, from Coulsdon, south London, pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.

The second charge was accessing the Met computer system without authorisation.

He is accused of having "wilfully misconducted" himself between July 2019 and November 2021.

He was unconditionally bailed to next appear at trial which was set for 21 July 2025.
