Wennington wildfires: 'Seeing my house like this just makes me sad'

Alfie Stock lost everything when wildfires ripped through east London during last month's heatwave.

His family, from Wennington, are starting from scratch after their home of 50 years was burnt to the ground.

The 26-year-old said seeing his home in ruins was really sad and strange, but that he felt detached from it now.

"I'm just looking towards the future now," he said.
