Part of M1 in Leicestershire shuts for resurfacing after crash

A crash involving three lorries has forced part of the M1 motorway in Leicestershire to close for repairs.
The crash occurred at about 05:30 GMT on Tuesday on the southbound carriageway between J21A at Leicester and J22 at Markfield.
Two lanes of three had been closed due to a "significant" diesel spillage.
But National Highways said shortly before 21:00 that the southbound carriageway would close for resurfacing work until at least 06:00 on Wednesday.
A signed diversion will be in place.
The crash left one of the vehicles on its side, but police confirmed no life-threatening injuries had been reported.
The northbound side was shut at 06:15 to let emergency crews work at the scene, but later reopened.
