Every year when the shine wears off the crystal chandeliers at Blackpool Tower the lamps dating back to the Edwardian era are lowered by hand-winch.
It is a delicate operation restoring the sheen of the hand cut crystal with each piece meticulously cleaned by hand.
A light dusting is followed by a deft polish and all is ready again for the dancers in the ballroom.
