Burscough bus stop crash driver dies in hospital

A man who crashed the car he was driving into a bus stop has died.

The Vauxhall Astra struck the stop on Liverpool Road South in Burscough at about 21:30 GMT on Monday.

The 60-year-old man who was behind the wheel was taken to hospital but died a short time later, Lancashire Police said.

The force has asked any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to get in touch. There are no reports of other injuries.
