Police hold suspect after man escapes Margate police station

A man has been held on suspicion of escaping lawful custody after a burglary suspect fled from a police station.

The man was detained by officers following a search of an area of Margate on Friday.

Kent Police earlier made an appeal to find Patrick Dandas, who escaped from Margate police station on Thursday.

The 26-year-old was in custody having been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary on Wednesday.
