Stolen Daisy: Search for truck as dog hunt continues

A week after a dog was stolen from a retired couple, Kent Police has issued a CCTV image of a van seen in the area at the time.

Cocker spaniel Daisy went missing from Upper Street, Hollingbourne, on 18 January.

Her owners, Pam, 77, and Bill Nash, 80, put out a Facebook appeal which has been shared 169,000 times.

A white pick-up truck was seen on CCTV travelling between Hollingbourne, Bredgar and Sittingbourne, police said.

Daisy got loose from the Nash's home and within minutes Mr Nash went outside to fetch her, but she was already gone.

Moments before, a witness with dashcam footage recorded Daisy two doors away from her home, near The Dirty Habit pub.

A Kent Police spokesman said last week: "It is alleged a man in a white flatbed truck stopped his vehicle and stole a white and tan cocker spaniel that was sitting outside an address."

The Nash family is offering a reward to anyone who provides information leading to her safe return.

Anyone who has found her has been asked to hand her into the RSPCA, or contact police or Dog Lost - the UK's largest lost and found dog service.
